MOUTH
Every few hours we are driven by a feeling of hunger to eat food. Eating is essential because food contains nutrients that the body needs to stay alive. Before you can swallow food you
first have to chew it into small pieces. Your lips, cheeks, and tongue steer food between your teeth. Powered by strong jaw muscles, front teeth slice food, while bulkier back teeth crush it into a paste. At the same time, your tongue mixes food with saliva.
